Description
Settembre 1944, Rachel Stein, giovane cantante di varietà, fugge in Olanda dalla Germania nazista. Nei territori liberati ritrova la sua famiglia per perderla subito dopo in un’imboscata tedesca. Unica sopravvissuta all’esecuzione di massa, ottiene asilo in una cellula della resistenza olandese capeggiata da Kuipers. Rachel decide di mettere la propria bellezza al servizio della resistenza, cambiando identità (sarà Ellis De Vries) e infiltrandosi nei salotti del potere. Incaricata di sedurre l’ufficiale Müntze, finisce per innamorarsene. Il sentimento che li lega non le impedisce di portare a termine la missione: il piazzamento di una microspia. Dall’altra parte della barricata, Rachel è amata da Hans Akkermans, un medico della resistenza. Una notte, durante un’irruzione, vengono uccisi numerosi partigiani. Rachel è accusata di alto tradimento ma niente è quello che sembra e nessuno è quello che dice di essere.
